Princess Benson discovered her passion for service as a high school peer counselor in West Covina, California—earning her early education certification before teaching for four years. In 1989, she became an EMT and served in both ambulance response units and the surgical department at Los Angeles County–USC Hospital. After joining Los Angeles Unified School District in 1995, she began as a Healthcare Assistant in Special Education, earning CPR and First Aid instructor certifications and founding Aliska Enterprises in 2005. There, she provided CPR/First Aid training. Her academic credentials include an A.A. in Liberal Studies (2004) and a B.A. in Human Services (2013). In 2009, she launched P&B’s Heavy Hitters Enterprises to deliver vocational training for individuals with special needs.
Ms. Benson’s current focus is on supporting special needs children and their families through her role as a Special Education Healthcare Assistant with LAUSD, and through her programs at P&B’s Heavy Hitters and KH&M’s Siblings Are Us. She facilitates workshops, peer mentoring, and family-centered outings that foster emotional health, leadership, and life skills. Working closely with students, parents, and therapists, she supports individualized student goals, collaborates on IEPs, and addresses classroom and behavioral needs—making a tangible difference for children with special needs and their families each day.
KH&M's strong cohesive team is the backbone of our nonprofit—where trust, shared goals, and clear communication not only elevate our work, but also deepen our commitment to those we serve.
